CR Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct


  1. Every person in our school has the responsibility to treat others with dignity, courtesy and respect.
  2. Every person in our school has the right to be free of harassment (racial, cultural, sexual, physical appearance and religious). Every person in our school has the right to learn in an environment that is free of verbal, written, physical and electronic harassment.
  3. Every person in our school must actively contribute to ensure a positive and safe learning environment.
  4. Every person in our school has the responsibility to report any use of technology that disseminates inappropriate, demeaning, harassing, and/or threatening messages.

Logical consequences will result to inappropriate behaviour. The Toronto District School Board believes in progressive discipline when dealing with students who demonstrate inappropriate behaviour. This can include any and/or all of the following:

Parent contact
Detention
Letter of apology
Essay on a specific topic related to the behaviour
Time out
Program modifications
Guidance referral support
Social work support
Community service
Restitution for damages
Suspension
Expulsion
Police contact for serious infractions 


The Toronto District School Board’s Consequences for Inappropriate Student Behaviour acts as a guide for all disciplinary issues.

A working partnership between home and school will assist in promoting a positive learning environment.
