School Data

School Data

At CR. Marchant, we collect a variety of assessments in order to base our School Improvement Goals. We use EQAO, CAT4, Report Card data, and a variety of teacher diagnostics to assess and evaluate student progress throughout the year.

Grade 6 EQAO Data

Each September, EQAO (Education, Quality and Accountability Office) release Provincial and  school results for the Grade 3 and 6  Assessment that students completed in the previous Spring. In 2018/19, the percentage of students at CR who scored Level 3 or higher in reading, writing and math was 66, 78 and 28. C.R. Marchant scored 69, 75 and 38 respectively. We experienced some challenges that staff will be reviewing and analyzing in order to improve student achievement. Although EQAO is one method of assessment, and a snapshot of student achievement, it is important to look at not only the overall school results, but more importantly the individual scores. Each learner will be looked at to see how improvement can be made this year.
