Derrydown Public School is a uniform school.
Our school uniform includes the following:
- Dress Bottoms - black pants/skirts/shorts/dresses
- Dress Tops - red, white, or black shirts or dress
- Derrydown crests are available for sale at the school. Please inquire at the school office.
All students:
- May wear dress requirements to support a creed practices and similar human rights accommodations.
- May not wear anything that promotes or symbolizes drugs, alcohol, illegal activity, hate or discrimination, profanity, pornography; or that incites violence or harassment; or threatens health and safety.
For safety reasons, it is recommended that students wear comfortable, low-heeled closed toe shoes. Running shoes are preferred.
The following are the consequences that have been established should a student come to school dressed in clothing that does not follow our dress code:
- A conversation from teacher and/or administration to both parent/guardian and student
- Student may be asked to change into clothing adhering to the TDSB Student Dress Policy. If students do not have extra clothing with them, parents/guardians will be called to drop off a change of clothing.
