Happy Holidays!

I would like to wish everyone a very happy healthy holiday and to remind you that this is a great time to share a book with your children.  Also, don't forget to visit the public library during the winter break.
The morning reading club will open again on January 5, 2015 at 8:15.  If you have not come to the morning reading club yet, we would love to see you in January!

Happy Holidays! Happy Reading!

         News from the Library

Welcome back to school!  The morning reading club is open!  The Reading Club takes place every morning in the Library beginning at 8:15 a.m. until 8:40 a.m. Students in grades 1-5 may come to the Morning Reading Club on their own or accompanied by an adult.  Students in JK/SK must me accompanied by an adult.  You will know the Reading Club is open when the Big Pink Sign is hanging on the library door. Please enter the school through the front doors and if the Big Pink Sign is hanging on the door it means it is 8:15 and you may walk down to the library.  If the Big Pink Sign is not hanging on the door, please wait near the gym until you see the sign, please do not come down the hall if the sign is not up.

Things to do at the Morning Reading Club:   Read, Study, Complete Homework, Play Games and Exchange Library Books.

Students will be dismissed from the Reading Club at 8:40 to join their classroom lineups.

I look forward to seeing you at the Morning Reading Club.

Please watch for a two page handout from the Library.

Students have been given a two page handout on hot pink paper with information about the Morning Reading Club and how to access the TDSB Virtual Library from home.  Please keep this information as it provides the steps needed to gain access to wonderful digital resources. Students will also be receiving a Virtual Library Learnmark which will be stapled into their agendas. This Learnmark has the same information as page 2 of the handout, but will also include their Username and password which is needed to gain access to the digital sites from home.  Please read through the handout and if you have any questions please drop by the library and I will be pleased to help you.

Enjoy the Virtual Library!
