School Council - Overview

School councils are an excellent way for parents to get involved in their child’s education. The school council advises the principal on a variety of issues and activities relating to student achievement, curriculum goals and priorities, school budget priorities, school safety, renovation plans, after school activities, and criteria for selection of new principals.

Earl Grey is fortunate to have an active School Council with many parent members from our school community. The Council meets on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays of each month except for December, and all Earl Grey parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Some parents stay on the Council for a few years, but each year members move on. We want to ensure our Council remains vibrant and representative of our school population so new parent members are always welcome and encouraged to join.

Please mark the following dates for the Earl Grey School Council meetings 2017-2018. Volunteers are needed to manage various committees and your support would be greatly appreciated.
