George Brown College Vocational Program -- Information Sessions for 2018-19.

Information sessions for George Brown's College Vocational Program will be held on:
February 27, 28
March 1, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 22

at 10:00 a.m. SHARP

and February 28 and March 6
at 7 p.m. SHARP

The information session and campus tour should take approximately one and a half hours.
Please register your student/s for an information session by e-mailing the address (cv@georgebrown.ca) below and letting us know how many will be attending, their names and on which date.
We will confirm attendance by return e-mail.
All applicants must apply to OCAS.

Information on Life After High School!

Parents, students and families of Eastdale Students are encouraged to attend either of the following information events this coming Tuesday, September 26, 2017:

  1. Transitions Information Evening -- in partnership with Heydon Park Secondary School you are invited to attend, meet with and learn about important community resources for students who are graduating and leaving high school.  Tuesday, September 26, 2017, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  76 D'Arcy Street, Toronto (close to Dundas & Beverley streets).  More information on the attached flyer
  2. The Humber College CICE (Community Integration through Cooperative Education) program information evening, also from 6:30 to 8:00 on Tuesday September 26, 2017.  This two-year program provides an opportunity for students with intellectual disabilities 19+ with a Certificate of Accomplishment or an Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC) to experience college life.  Please note this program is not available to students with an OSS Dipoloma.  RSVP is requested.  Full details are available on the Humber College website and in the following attachments:

Welcome to Eastdale CI’s Guidance Department

We work with students their families to:
  • Select courses for high school that will help you reach your goals
  • Support the move from middle school to high school
  • Support the move from high school to life after high school
  • Connect to supports in the community
  • Find and follow up on opportunities for volunteering and work
  • Connect with post-secondary education (college, vocational programs, transition to work programs and transition to community living programs).
  • Provide individual career and life counselling
  • Connect to professional supports services (Social Workers, School-based Psychologists, Child and Youth Workers)
