This year, we are excited to announce our very first Inquiry Showcase called: The Power of Wonder

On December 8th at 6 pm the grades 4 - 8 will be showcasing their learning through Inquiry-Based Projects.

Parents, friends and community members are invited to join us for an evening of discovery and wonderment. Bring your questions, the students are excited to talk about what they have discovered.

What is inquiry based learning?

Inquiry-based learning

Inquiry-based learning starts by posing questions, problems or scenarios—rather than simply presenting established facts or portraying a smooth path to knowledge. The process is often assisted by a facilitator (in this case the classroom teacher). Inquirers (Students) will identify and research issues and questions to develop their knowledge or solutions. Inquiry-based learning includes problem-based learning, and is generally used in small scale investigations and projects, as well as research. The inquiry-based instruction is principally very closely related to the development and practice of thinking skills. (
