School Council President
The Student Activity Council (SAC) is a group of students that plan various social events to enrich everyone's high school experience. We plan events such as the Talent Show, Multicultural Lunch, Winter Activity Day, Semi-Formal and many more. We also act as a liaison between students and the administration. If you have an idea, suggestion or concern, let us know and we will see what we can do about it. We meet every Monday at lunch in room 210 or you can usually find us in the SAC Office. SAC is filled with lots of fun, cool and exciting people.
Our next upcoming event is the Semi-Formal which will take place on Tuesday, December 14th, 2010 at The Mod Club. It is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year. Another event that SAC plans is Winter Activity Day. Winter Activity Day is when students choose an activity to participate in that promotes learning outside of the classroom. Some of the many activities offered are Skiing/Snowboarding lessons, Photography workshops, visits to the Art Gallery of Ontario and Rock Climbing. Winter Activity Day will be on Tuesday, February 15th, 2011. SAC will also be hosting the Student Activity Council Presents: Harbord Collegiate Institute’s First Annual Spring Fling. This new event provides a chance for every student to attend an affordable school dance hosted at a separate venue. This event will take place on Tuesday, April 5th, 2011. SAC is excited about all the planned activities and is looking forward to your full participation and involvement.
