Students entering or leaving school during the regular school day require a note from the parent. Students must sign IN or OUT at the office.

Timing of School Day
Due to Covid19 many of our regular school routines are affected. Have students dress appropriately for cold and wet weather as gathering in large groups, for example, in the cafeteria will not be possible.

Schedule
Schedule
Lockers

Students will be assigned a locker. It is highly recommended that students purchase a Dudley lock for their lockers. These locks are available for purchase from the office. Locks purchased through the school will be replace if damaged.

Lunch
Students will eat in their classrooms with their teachers/lunchroom supervisors. There is no sharing of lunches and students are asked to bring their lunch and a water bottle each day. There will be no UberEats or other delivery service allowed this year. We hope to introduce food service this year. Please keep an eye on the weekly Friday File for more information.

As well, students who live close to the school and have written permission from their parents to go home may do so during the 40 minute outdoor break, provided they are back in time to resume their next class.

No food is allowed outside in the school yard. On days when the weather is inclement, pupils will bring work or a quiet activity with them to the cafeteria, gym or other designated area so that they may be gainfully occupied after they have finished their lunches. Students are expected to clear their own tables and place their debris in the garbage or recycling containers provided.

During the lunch periods, students are not permitted to leave the school grounds unless they have been given permission by the office. The plaza is OUT OF BOUNDS during lunch hour. We have worked hard to have students cohorted so they are in contact with fewer students each day. Parents are asked to ensure that if their child is planning to go home, that they only go home and not other places.

Cleanliness in the School
It is expected that students will co-operate in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in the school and on the school grounds.

Halls & Foyers
Place garbage in garbage cans situated in a variety of locations inside the school.

Outdoors
Place garbage in garbage bins situated in a variety of locations around the school.

Washrooms
Keep washroom areas in a clean condition.

Electronics
MP3 Players, cell phones, hand-held video-gaming devices and other electronic equipment and toys should be stored in a safe place throughout the school day. Electronic equipment that is brought to school for learning purposes such as pocket translators, laptops and calculators is the responsibility of the student. The school will not be held responsible if these items are lost or stolen.

Lost and Found
In a school as active as Kelsey, it is not surprising that some articles are lost. Some form of identification attached to or written on belongings is necessary.

Students are encouraged NOT to bring valuables or large sums of money to school. The Lost and Found is located in front of the cafeteria and in the main office.
