Our Air and Water

Location: Hillside Outdoor Education School or Your Local Greenspace

Students explore forms in which air and water are present in nature and the characteristics of these valuable resources. Through a variety of exciting activities, learners will investigate water in the natural environment and will explore ways in which living things depend on air and water.


Itinerary: Students will investigate the forms of air and water found in nature and explore how different species depend on both air and water.  This trip may include visits to offsite locations.


Overall Expectations:

Science: 

  • 3 Demonstrate and understanding of the ways in which air and water are used by living things to help them meet their basic needs.  

Specific Expectations:

  • 2.5 investigate water in the natural environment
  • 3.3 describe ways in which living things, including humans depend on air and water
