Welcome to Humberside Collegiate Institute

mural

felix qui potuit rerum cognoscere causas - happy is the person who has been able to learn the reasons of things

Humberside Collegiate Institute was established in 1892 and continues to serve the ambitious, academically inclined young people of the High Park area. The building is beautiful and old on the outside but bright and modern on the inside.

Our school helps students to become responsible, capable, and caring citizens with a lifelong curiosity and the desire for excellence. It does so in a supportive and co-operative atmosphere of mutual respect.

The Humberside graduate will be a well-rounded person whose intellectual, psychological, and physical needs have been addressed. The graduates will have had many opportunities to develop themselves through both curricular and co-curricular activities. !

The Humberside community has worked hard to implement a number of environmental initiatives. Led by the enthusiastic Humberside Environmental Action Team (H.E.A.T.) we have worked hard to lessen our footprint, become more sustainable and to inform students, and the community at large, of important environmental practices and events.

The hard work of everyone at Humberside has resulted in our 'Gold Ecoschools' accreditation. However, we believe we can do better, and as such, are striving for Platinum certification at the end of this year!
