The Kindergarten students enjoy observing the birds who come to visit and eat from their bird feeder.

Thanks to Google and their Expeditions Pioneer Program our students had the opportunity to visit some inspiring places. Students enjoyed the company of marine animals while others got to explore the infinite vastness of space! Some groups explored historical landmarks - not the least of which included walking along the Great Wall of China. Our virtual field trip confirmed one very important fact; technology has allowed us to do things today that we could only dream about ten years ago.

The SMART board is an important teaching and learning tool at our school. Below Kindergarten students in room 102 identify high frequency sight words using "I spy with my little eye" clues.

Students in Ms. Zezima's class learn to make snowflakes using Borax.

Grade 5 students had the opportunity to visit Mono Cliffs Outdoor Education Centre for 4 days. Students participated in exciting activities ranging from outdoor photography, ecology hikes, orienteering and woodworking. One foggy morning, students participated in an instincts-for-survival game set in the beautiful forests of Mono Cliffs. Not only did our students partake in exciting activities, they also did very well in the eco-challenge where they had to conserve water, electricity and have minimum food wastage. Our students and teachers had an enriching experience and one they will never forget! Thank you Ms. Ram and Mr. Ruggeri for accompanying our students on their trip. Way to go Joyce!
