Our School's History

Kennedy Public School, which officially opened in 1988, is named for the James Kennedy family who immigrated to Canada from Scotland and settled in this northeast area of Metropolitan Toronto. You can find a picture of Mrs. Jean Kennedy-Campbell, who traces her roots back to the original Kennedy family.

Mrs. Kennedy-Campbell often visited us and was always invited to all of our special events. Kennedy Public School proudly serves over 600 students.

Kennedy Public School is committed to promoting learning as a lifelong experience; striving for excellence in all students; and, within a safe and caring environment, teaching our children to be socially responsible citizens.
