Student Support

The following departments help provide additional supports to MCI students and enhance student success.

The Guidance and Career Services Department works collaboratively with students and parents to:

• create student timetables
• create career paths for students after high school using myBlueprint
• liaise with social workers, school psychologists, mental health addiction nurses and other agencies
• provide appropriate counselling, emotional, and mental health supports to students

The MCI Library Learning Commons offers an inviting environment to all students, staff, and parents/caregivers with the overall objectives to:

• liaise with departments to support curriculum
• teach research skills and how to cite resources
• incorporate Google apps and technology
• support school wide initiatives of reading and literacy

The Special Education Department works collaboratively with students and parents/caregivers to:

• foster an inclusive environment,
• provide appropriate supports for all of our students
• use assistive technology where appropriate
• effectively communicate with all parents and caregivers
• update individual education plans to ensure success for all students
