FOR YOUR INFORMATION...

Maurice Cody's Winter Fair will take place on Saturday November 29, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please click on
2014 Winter Fair Donation Request.pdf for more details. Don’t forget to order your Poinsettia / Wreath / Amaryllis for the holidays! Orders can be placed online at http://fs30.formsite.com/sorchard/form1/index.html and are due November 18th. They will be ready for pick-up at the fair. This is a HUGE fundraiser for the school so please get your orders in!!

We need lots (and LOTS) of volunteers in all areas of our Winter Fair!  Please consider pitching in for an hour or more the day of the fair – it can’t be done without you!  Contact Christine at christine.haselmayer@gmail.com and let her know when you’re available.
Aunt Edna’s drop-off is open!  There is a box marked “Aunt Edna’s” in the hall outside of the office.  We are looking for all new or gently used goods (games, toys, jewelry, mom/dad gifts, household items, crafts etc.).

We are still looking for new, unused toys for our Children’s Raffle.  Please contact Cyndy at cyndypop@gmail.com if you have something to donate.

Nut free baked goods are needed for our bake sale. Everything should be dropped off on the morning of the fair. We are in need of bars of any kind (brownies, rice crispies, lemon squares), cookies of any kind (including Christmas & Chanukah shapes), cupcakes, muffins and cakes for the cake walk!!
If you have a particular “talent” in one area over another – feel free to bring any of the above.  Popcorn, pretzels, bits n' bites, cheesies and chips in snack size baggies are always a big hit).If you have any questions about any part of the fair please reach out to Celeste at celeste.kirk@mcwhirter.ca

Save the date! - Book Fair!

Payment methods are cash, cheques (Maurice Cody Public School), debit and credit cards. All classes will have an opportunity to visit the book fair.

VOLUNTEERING at Maurice Cody - We value and appreciate the time and dedication that our parent volunteers have to offer. Thank you for your contributions to our learning community! Volunteers are required by the TDSB to complete a Police Reference Check. Police Reference Check forms are available in the school office. Once a reference check has been cleared, your name will be entered into the TDSB Volunteer Data Base. Returning volunteers are asked to please see Ms. Vala in the office to ensure that their Offence Declaration has been submitted.
If you would like to volunteer in the library please contact mary Siegner ay Mary.Siegner@tdsb.on.ca.

KISS N' RIDE volunteers are always needed! Please see the attached letter with information about the Kiss N Ride program for 2014-2015. We are ALWAYS in need of volunteers in order to have a minimum of two volunteers every day to receive students who are being dropped off. Volunteers are required for approximately 15 minutes in the morning, beginning at 8:30. If you are able to give of your time, even one morning per week, it would be greatly appreciated! Please contact Sue Porritt at porrittsue@gmail.com . Thank you!

Walking Wednesdays take place weekly at Maurice Cody! The challenge for students is to walk to school every Wednesday, count their steps to school, and log them at the Walking Wednesday table. Stps will be tracked and tallied. Biking and skateboarding count too! Our goal is two million steps! We can do it Cody!
