Biography

Teaching is definitely my passion. I have been an educator for 16 years now (mostly with the TDSB). I have a Biochemistry Degree (Honours Specialist Molecular Biology and Biotechnology) from McMaster University and a two year Education Degree from Acadia University.
I run a Blended Learning Classroom where technology is used to support the learning process. My classes are structured around an inclusive model of education that strives to meet a wide diversity of learning needs.

Extra Help Times and Locations

By appointment (please arrange time at the end of class or via an e-mail request). The best times are the first 20 minutes of lunch and between 3:10 and 3:30 everyday.

Giroux, Andrew

Biography

Mr. Giroux is an alumni of Brock University graduating with a BSc/BEd and majoring in Biology. In the past he has taught primarily mathematics, but is excited to be teaching science this year. A few of his hobbies include snowboarding, hiking, fishing and photography.

Nguyen, Trang

Biography

Ms. Nguyen is an experienced Math and Science teacher with a Bachelor of Education in Intermediate and Senior Division and an Honours Specialist in Mathematics. For 6 years, she has been working for TDSB board and has taught all levels in Mathematics, Science and Chemistry. With her passion in teaching, commitment to lifelong learning and instructional abilities, she has been a great addition to Richview CI. She believes that all students can learn and succeed. Her major goals in teaching are to help students achieve their goals and maintain a positive learning environment. She is devoted to her students and continues to help them strive to achieve their best.

Salama, Joseph

Biography

Graduate of the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Science.  Graduate of Griffith University with a Master of Teaching.  Secondary teacher with the t.d.s.b. since the 2008/2009 school year; a member of the Richview staff since the 2010/2011 school year.

Coulter, James

Biography

Mr. Coulter has been with the Toronto District School Board since 2001, but taught in Alberta from 1998-2001 prior to returning to his hometown of Toronto.  He served as the Curriculum Leader of Math and Science at Don Mills Collegiate, teaching students at the applied, academic, and gifted levels for Grade 9 and 10 Science;  Biology 11 and 12, and with teaching experience in Chemistry 11 and 12.  He is currently teaching the sciences as part of the Richview Collegiate science department.

Mr. Coulter can be available for help 
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at lunch. (11:40-12:30) in room 117.
Assistance can also be available after school, by appointment.

Tripodis, Alex

Biography

Mr. Tripodis is graduate of U of T and OISE.  He majored in Life Sciences. He has been teaching at Richview since 2004.

Mr. Tripodis can be found in the science office.  He can provide extra help before school, at lunch, and after school.
