The Resource Centre/Library supports students in their studies and enriches their learning experience. Facilities include individual carrels for private study, a table area for quiet small group discussions, a seminar room for class or small group use, a research lab, computers and a laser printer. A photocopier is available for student use at a cost of 10 cents per page.

To enjoy the Library privileges:

  • Students must be in uniform to use the Resource Centre for quiet study during their spare, lunch or before and after school depending upon availability.
  • Students must have permission from their teacher in order to use computers or library resources during class time.
  • Show their Student Activity Card and timetable when requested by Library staff. Student Activity Card is also required when borrowing library materials.
  • Students must return all materials borrowed in a timely fashion and have no overdue items.
  • A daily fine of 10 cents per school day per book will be charged for overdue books.

Four Ways to Avoid Problems:

  • Renew your book before it is overdue if you need it longer than 3 weeks for an ISU. Only 1 renewal is allowed.
  • Do not lend a book to someone else.
  • Do not sign out a book for someone else.
  • Do not bring items into the Library that are not allowed: (food, drinks, candy, mp3 players, cellphones; games/gaming devices).

The School Library Website

Every TDSB elementary and secondary school has a friendly School Library Website for students to use at home and school.

Students will quickly find quality web links and full-text databases and reference sources that are carefully selected to help students with their projects and homework.
