Do you want to become a licensed carpenter and earn credits towards your high school diploma?

This tuition-free program is for you. In 18 weeks you will receive in-school shop training and gain workplace experience performing carpentry projects for TDSB schools. If you achieve 70% or better with excellent attendance you will be accepted into the Carpenters’ Union as an apprentice.

This program is located at David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, 2740 Lawrence Ave. East (Lawrence and Midland).

You can begin the program in September or February.

Students not currently attending SCAS must apply through the Carpenters’ Union, Local 27, (905) 652-5507 (Marlene Grossi or Crystal Ashington).

All interested students currently at SCAS must attend a Carpentry Orientation session.

The next Orientation for the Pre-Apprenticeship Carpentry (FIX-IT) program will be in August 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at 720 Midland Avenue.

Please check "How to Register" on this website for details.
