Do you want to become a licensed carpenter and earn credits towards your high school diploma?

This tuition-free program is for you. In 18 weeks you will receive in-school shop training and gain workplace experience performing carpentry projects for TDSB schools. If you achieve 70% or better with excellent attendance you will be accepted into the Carpenters’ Union as an apprentice.

This program is located at David and Mary Thomson Collegiate Institute, 2740 Lawrence Ave. East (Lawrence and Midland).

You can begin the program in September or February.

Students not currently attending SCAS must apply through the College of Carpenters and Allied Trades Inc. (CCAT) website or call Marlene Grossi or Crystal Ashington at 905-652-5507.

All interested students currently at SCAS must attend a Carpentry Orientation session.

The next Orientation for the Pre-Apprenticeship Carpentry (FIX-IT) program will be in January 17, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at 720 Midland Avenue.

Please check "How to Register" on this website for details.
