Scholarships

Scholarships and University/College Financial Aid

There are a number of ways for students to access funds to finance their post secondary educations. Loans, bursaries and scholarships are available to all students.

There are many opportunities for students of all backgrounds and abilities.  Talk with your family/friends and ask them to inquire at work for opportunities.  Also, inquire with your community organizations.

Most importantly, check college and university calendars and websites for extensive opportunities.

Always apply for bursaries and OSAP along with scholarships.  Universities and colleges often have extra bursaries to give out because they do not have enough applicants.  Often students need to apply for OSAP to be considered for these bursaries.

Students should register their profiles on yconic.com to obtain a list of awards tailored to their profiles and future education plans.

Don't forget to apply for OSAP! Loans can be applied for through the Ontario Student Assistant Program (OSAP) and your bank. OSAP can be applied for in the spring when you confirm the post-secondary institution you will be attending. A representative will be in the school in the Spring to talk about OSAP.
