Let's get to know our city! Spend the day at the City of Toronto Archives exploring Toronto past, present and future. How has leadership, public service and civic engagement shaped the city we live in? How do we become engaged citizens and make our voices heard? To explore these questions, students will examine primary source documents from Toronto’s past, including maps, photographs and the City's first ever law! A range of hands-on activities can include: passing a by-law, a community walk, and designing a city streetscape. Special emphasis will be placed on discovering city services and on encouraging engagement with local government to improve community services and amenities
