Scholarships

The Association needs to generate revenues for the scholarship fund.

The scholarship honours individuals by recognizing student achievement and their academic excellence and contributions to the community. These are the hallmarks of Memo graduates and we need your support to continue acknowledging outstanding young men and women who have distinguished themselves through their studies and commitment to community.

J. W. Ansley Scholarship

The Grade 12 Student with the highest average in 6 University or University/College or College courses

C.U.P.E. Local 994, Don Paton Memorial Scholarship

The Grade 12 student who achieves the highest marks in two business subjects at the Grade 12 level

Terry Fox Marathon of Hope Scholarship

A graduating student who has displayed leadership and initiative in encouraging physical fitness (rotating award)

Governor General's Academic Medal

The Grade 12 student with the highest average in 6 Grade 12 University or University/College or College courses

W. L. Gordon James-25 Year Club Scholarships

Graduating students in the former City of York who excel in Music, Art, Drama or Dance and are continuing studies in their particular fields

Merit Award Bursary

Potential winners are all full-time Grade 11, 12 students who have shown dedication to both schoolwork and extra-curricular activities and who are returning to Y.M.C.I. continuing in post-secondary studies

Montreal Memorial Scholarship

A graduating female student who is pursuing post-secondary education in a non-traditional field

Motorola Scholarship Award

A graduating female student entering post-secondary studies in electronics and/or communications

M. C. O'Brien Scholarship for Art

A graduating student who is going on to post-secondary education in a creative field

Ontario Scholars

Students who obtained an 80% average in 6 Grade 12 University or University/College or College courses

D. J. Phillips Scholarship

A graduating student who has demonstrated overall excellence in a business or related program.

Rockcliffe Middle School Scholarship

A graduating student formerly from Rockcliffe M. S. who is pursuing post-secondary studies and shows evidence of financial need

Douglas Saunders Memorial Scholarship

A graduating student who intends to pursue post-secondary studies in music at College or University.

Skelton Bursary

A deserving student who desires to continue his or her formal education but is financially unable to do so.

Howard S. Vaughan Scholarship

A graduating music student with a good academic record, who has made an excellent contribution to the Music Program.
