GIFTED

Gifted Learning @ Albert Campbell C. I.

Students in the Gifted Program engage in learning the curriculum in a manner that is tailored to their interests and intellectual needs.  Students play an active and more independent role in their learning by choosing and exploring topics and projects that challenge them at the level appropriate to their current intellectual growth.  Gifted learning emphasizes deep engagement with curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. The Gifted Program enrols only those students who have been identified through the IPRC process as gifted.  The chart below highlights the gifted courses common to all gifted programs in the TDSB.  This means that students will be able to take 4 gifted coded courses for their Grade 9 and 10 years and 2 gifted coded courses in their Grade 11 and 12 years to remain in the Gifted ISP Secondary program.

The placement for secondary gifted students is Special Education Class- Partially Integrated.

Only students placed through a Central Intellectual Coordinator’s Offer of Placement may enroll in these courses.
