We are pleased to let you know that students who are at school this afternoon will come home with their own kit of two (2) Rapid Antigen Tests! Be sure to ask your child(ren) for their kit when they get home. The test kits were prepared for you by our dedicated Bedford staff wearing gloves, open window, HEPA filter on, and sanitized surfaces.
Please click here to read more about the kit: Bedford Park - RATs January 2022.
Here is a copy of the instructions for your reference: Test Kit Instructions.
If your child was absent from school this afternoon when the kits were distributed, they will receive their kit when they return to school for in-person learning.

Email sent from the TDSB regarding Short-Term Virtual Learning
We know that some families and students will choose to continue learning remotely for a period of time for a variety of reasons. During this transitional time, it is incredibly important for students to remain connected to their school, classroom, and teacher. Educators will continue to update virtual learning platforms.
For elementary students, asynchronous (not live) learning will be available for those choosing not to return to in-person learning.
Additional learning resources for families and students are available on the TDSB website to access directly, if interested. These resources are to supplement classroom learning, and not to replace the direct connection with a student’s class and in-person teacher.
Today, we are excited to launch a live stream series of rich and relevant learning opportunities, led by community-based educators and TDSB staff. Join us in learning that promotes positive identity development, enhances joy and belonging, and affirms the well-being of students. Classes, students, and families can view the calendar of events and join experiences here: Broadcasted Learning Experiences.

Partnership with the Hospital for Sick Kids - Saliva Test Kits
25 October 2021
We are happy to announce our partnership with Sick Kids and the arrival of testing kits.
The Hospital for Sick Children is pleased to provide the COVID-19 Saliva Testing Program in partnership with Bedford Park PS. Under this program, we offer COVID-19 saliva test kits for symptomatic staff, students, and household members, or those who have been identified by Toronto Public Health (TPH) as a high risk/close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 positive case. We also offer cohort and/or outbreak testing as recommended by TPH. Through participation in this program, we hope to provide a test that is painless and accessible, reduce COVID-19 cases in your school, keep schools open, promote healthy childhood development, and support the health and safety of your community.
