Clinton Street PS is an inclusive and diverse Kindergarten to grade 6 school that serves as the hub of a dynamic and iconic Toronto neighbourhood. There has been a school on the site dating back to the late 1800's and it is common to speak with members of the community and hear stories of how their parents and grandparents also attended Clinton Street.

Indeed just recently I was a good distance away from the school and starting talking with another person as we waited in line at a franchise coffee spot. I mentioned that I was the principal of Clinton Street PS and he quickly told me that when his family first arrived in Canada, they lived with an uncle and aunt on Grace Street and that he learned to speak English at Clinton Street PS and on its playground. He was also quick to mention that he still wished he lived down the street from Café Diplomatico as we would both be getting better coffee. I completely agreed. 

At Clinton, we are proud of the role we have played in Toronto's history and we encourage you to visit the Clinton Street Heritage section of our website. As a school, we continue to welcome newly arrived Canadians from around the globe and we also provide programs for students with Learning Disabilities, Developmental Disabilities and Gifted designations.

The school also houses Centro Clinton Daycare which offers before and after school care.

Clinton Street PS has an active and involved parent body, a full-time teacher-librarian, music teacher, gym teacher and a specialized art room. The collective expertise and dedication of our community and staff allow Clinton Street PS to offer students a wide variety of enriched learning opportunities.

As well as its excellent academic programs, Clinton Street has always offered a wide array of athletic teams and clubs and opportunities for student involvement and leadership and we hope to be able to provide various opportunities for enrichment and engagment this school year. At Clinton Street, we work hard and have a lot of fun.
