WELCOME TO MUSIC AND DANCE

AT DUNDAS PUBLIC SCHOOL!!

In music class, students get to explore a range of rhythm instruments and examine the role music plays in their lives and the role it plays in cultures and communities around the world. They also learn about standard and non-standard musical notation in preparation for reading music.

In dance class, students explore moving to music in a variety of ways. We look at our daily lives and how these movements can be exaggerated or slightly modified to become dances and we use dance to communicate stories, songs, emotions and even weather and science ideas like the water cycle!
