Emery Adult Learning Centre Is for Students 21+ Years Old

Emery Adult Learning Centre Welcomes Students 21+ Years Old. 

 

Registration for 2024-2025 will take place on August 26-30th from 8:30 a.m.  You must arrive by 10:30 at the latest to complete the registration process. 

 

You will be completing an assessment depending on what courses you would like to take. We offer assessments in English, Math and Science.

Please bring the following documents with you:

  • a school transcript if you have one available
  • proof of address (must be a lease, or sale agreement or a utility bill with your name on it)
  • proof of residency (Citizenship documents or card, Permanent Residence Card, Proof of Refugee Status)
  • $20 payable by cash or credit card

Course Offerings Q1 and Q2 2024-2025

 

Can you graduate this year??

 Have your completed:

  • at least ONE credit with Emery ALC

 By June 2024, will you also have completed

  • a grade 12 English,
  • a grade 11 math
  • and the OLC Literacy course?

 If so, you are eligible to graduate.

 Next Steps:

  • Please come to Guidance to get the mPLAR package,
  • fill it out with appropriate documentation where possible and
  • return it to our Guidance secretary, Lucy.

 NOTE: Those students who have already submitted their mPLAR or graduated in the past do not need to do this.

If you would like a locker, please submit this form and then see the School Based Safety Monitor  or the Vice-Principal. We won't be able to assign a locker until you complete the form.

Period 1: 8:25 a.m. - 10:25 a.m.

Break: 10:25 a.m. - 10:35 a.m.

Period 2: 10:35 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.

Lunch: 12:35 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.

Period 3: 1:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m.

 

Late Start Day Schedule:

Staff Meeting:  8:25 - 9:25 

Period 1: 9:30 a.m. - 11:05 a.m.

Break: 11:05 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

Period 2:  11:20 a.m. - 12:55 p.m.

Lunch: 12:55 p.m. - 1:35 a.m.

Period 3: 1:40 a.m. - 3:15
