Celebrating 15 years of outdoor education excellence at the Etobicoke Field Studies Centre, Claireville in 2017-18! We are one of ten Toronto Outdoor Education Schools (TOES)! We offer day programs for 1-2 elementary classes (grades K-8) and 1 secondary class (any discipline or school program), each day.
Our site is operated by the Toronto District School Board and is located within the Claireville Conservation Area, immediately northwest of the City of Toronto. It is one of the largest conservation areas administered by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority. The site is over 800 hectares in size, and contains a variety of habitats including mixed forests, rivers, ponds, reforestated areas and meadows. The west branch of the Humber River and it's tributary Salt Creek, flow through the property. There is a diverse population of animal and plants life found within the boundaries of the park. The natural resources of Claireville Conservation Area make it an ideal location for students to interact with the natural environment.
