Energy in the Environment

Energy in the Environment

Time of Year:  All Year

How do living things use energy from the sun?  In this program, students will explore how living things use sun energy to survive at Claireville.  Through a series of activities, students will learn the importance of making responsible energy choices that consider the needs of all living things. As a culminating activity, students will either help to mulch trails and trees in our woodlot (Fall and Spring) or make pinecone bird feeders (Winter) to help the birds conserve sun energy through the winter.
