Arctic Winter Games

Arctic Winter Games

Time of Year: Winter (requires snow)

EFSC's Arctic Winter Games are based on the international Arctic Winter Games which occur biannually. Participants from the worlds northern regions such as Russia, Alaska, Greenland, and our northern provinces of Canada gather for circumpolar sports and cultural exhibition. Our program includes an introduction to, and history of the games, a themed icebreaker, and activities that are based on traditional Inuit and Dene games. The EFSC Arctic Winter Games promotes the concepts of fair play, team building, and the creation of strategies as well as giving insight into Inuit culture. The games will culminate with a snowshoe hike throughout the Claireville property.
