Forest Hill Collegiate Institute

WELCOME TO FOREST HILL CI

Forest Hill CI LogoForest Hill Collegiate has a long history. The original building was erected in 1948 by the Board of Education for the Village of Forest Hill.  A total renovation of the school began in 1992 and the additions to the building were completed in the spring of 1994.  Classrooms are spread over four floors. The school is fortunate to have a swimming pool, outdoor tennis and basketball courts, and a large field.

Currently, Forest Hill has an enrolment of approximately 850 students and 50 teaching staff. It is a school with an undisputed reputation for academic excellence and a strong tradition of student participation and leadership. At Forest Hill, we believe in supporting the interests and passions of every student.  Our motto is Non Nobis Solum, Not for Ourselves Alone

Construction on FHCI Property

Construction638221093561843548

Our construction project is still underway ouside the school and will continue into the spring. The scope of work includes improvements to the north of the school building, the courtyard and the turning circle at the front, along with all student gathering areas on the north and south sides of the building.

The work will include upgrades to the north of the school including the installation of a new basketball court and a turfed area for soccer, the creation of an armour stone seat wall and the construction of new gathering spaces for students. The courtyard will also be upgraded to allow for better accessibility, the creation of sun shelters, and the installation of an irrigation system to allow for new plantings. At the front of the school, the circular drive has been repaved, an additional flag pole has been installed, the parking area has been revamped, and the student gathering area has been upgraded to include chess/game tables and seating areas for students. We look forward to our landscaping and opening of our new spaces in the spring 2024!
