Pause for Paws - A program that promotes empathy, mindfulness and self-confidence. The program introduces students to various creature friends including bunnies.

Morning Snack Program - Model Schools for Inner City.

Extra-Curricular Sports through TDESSA - a wide variety of sports from Cross-country to Volleyball to Track and Field are offered. 

Playground Leaders - Playground Activity Leaders in Schools (PALS) – Junior/intermediate students lead cooperative recess games and activities that build inclusion and foster a peaceful playground experience for students.

Healthy Action Team (HAT)Students, Parents, Toronto Public Health Nurse and General Crerar Staff working together to support General Crerar students to make healthy choices. The team explores taking social action on important issues.

Eco Club - Team of students and staff dedicated to ensuring that General Crerar maintains Platinum Eco School status by promoting creative reusing, recycling and reducing waste in order to protect and sustain a healthy environment.

Field Trips - Curriculum and Leadership-Based within the city and province.

Play Day - Winter and Spring/Summer play days are filled with fun and inclusive games.

Spirit Days - Various themes (e.g., pyjama day, red/white day, culture day, etc.).

Intramural Sports - Various sports are offered such as basketball, floor hockey, volleyball, badminton, dodgeball, etc.)
