Online Registration for Kindergarten begins in February 2024

Kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year begins on February 1, 2024. The 'Register Now' link will be activated on that date.

Online registration is for students new to the TDSB.

Through the OLR, parents/guardians will submit their child's information, and validate their address.

How to Register

Children who will be four by December 31, 2024, can start Junior Kindergarten in September 2024.

Children who will be five by December 31, 2024, can start Senior Kindergarten in September 2024.

Please note: Only parents or legal guardians can register a child for TDSB programs.

The Office will contact you with an appointment for the first week of March 2024 after the registration is received

The following documents are needed to complete registration: 

• Proof of age (birth certificate, Canadian passport, Canadian Citizenship card or certificate)
• Proof of address, including any two of the following current documents: Utility bill (e.g. hydro, gas, water), cable TV, internet, or home phone bill, insurance policy (home, tenant, auto or life), mortgage statement, rental or lease agreement or deed, current purchase and sale agreement, property tax bill or notice of tax assessment. Original correspondence from a government agency or legal clinic may be accepted as a second proof of address document.
• Health Card
• Legal Custody Documents (if applicable)
• Students whose parents are on Study Permit, or families that are in the process applying for refugee protection are required to contact StudyToronto@tdsb.on.ca by email with their documentation, to obtain a TDSB school admission letter.
