HCI Celebrates
HCI Caretaking --> A huge thank you to our caretaking staff that worked tirelessly to ensure our sidewalks and public spaces were cleared for staff, students and community during a massive snow storm. We have a very unique site with hard to reach areas, so it takes a lot of work to make sure our site is in good working order. If you see a caretaker - make sure you say thanks!
School Business
Timetable Change Requests for Semester 2 --> Timetable changes will be considered ONLY if:
• Students have an incomplete timetable
• Students were unsuccessful in a course in Semester One
• Grade 11 or 12 students who have had a post-secondary pathway change
• Grade 12 students with 27 earned credits wish to request a spare
TIMETABLE CHANGE REQUEST FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO GUIDANCE BY FEBRUARY 6th.
From January 30th to February 6th--> The Guidance Department will be prioritizing necessary timetable changes and reviewing all students' status toward graduation requirements. Regular appointment bookings will resume February 9th.
February is Course Selection Month--> Guidance will visit all classrooms from February 9 to February 20. During the visits, counsellors will review graduation requirements and how to select courses using myBlueprint. We will also provide resources for students to do some reverse planning by looking at post-secondary information.
-myBlueprint opens on February 9 and students' course selections are due February 23.
-A Subject Fair will take place during Lunch on Tuesday, February 10. This is a great opportunity for students to meet teachers from a range of departments and learn about course offerings in all grades and subject areas. It is important that students attend.
