Community Involvement

Community Involvement Graduation Requirement:  For students graduating in the 2020-21 school year, the community involvement graduation requirement will be reduced to a minimum of 20 hours of community involvement activities. This recognizes that graduating students have had barriers to earning their community involvement hours last school year and there may be continued barriers this school year.

When students have completed their 40 hours, they should hand in their passport, signed by their supervisor(s), and parents to the Guidance office.

Students are encouraged to do more than the required 40 hours for many reasons. This encourages civic responsibility, promotes community values and supports career exploration. Besides, many scholarships are not only a result of marks, but community involvement as well.
