What is STEM?
S – Science
T – Technology
E – Engineering
M - Mathematics
STEM is about preparing our students to ready for the 21st century. It is a transdisciplinary approach to inquiry and problem-based learning that fosters collaboration, creativity and innovation in all students.
During STEM education, students investigate possible solutions to complex, real-world problems by applying the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Who does STEM?
STEM is for ALL students, since the solutions to many of society’s current and future problems rest, in part, on the application of the knowledge, skills, and behaviours of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
Students in all disciplines will need to develop these knowledge, skills, and behaviours so they become thriving and contributing members of society.
