Extra Practice on the Web

Extra Practice on the Web

Using the Web

While the internet can be a great tool in enhancing one's knowledge and education, it is strongly recommended that parents pay close attention to what your children are doing on the computer. The Toronto District School Board has it's own Code of Online Conduct which must be agreed to and signed by a parent or guardian before a student is allowed to use the internet at school. View the TDSB Code of Conduct.

More information and safety tips can be found on the Toronto Police Website link and http://www.bewebaware.ca/english/default.html.

More Fun Websites for Learning

http://www.funbrain.com/numbers.html
Interactive games help to make children feel comfortable when reviewing and working on mathematical concepts is the goal of this website. Some of the games are really interesting (I like the math car game. Not only is it addition, but it involves a bit of estimation as well to help make your car go further).

For student (and parents) who may be struggling with a concept, this site is like a mini-review of what students have learned about a specific concept. It is a great site for visual learners, or for ESL/ELL learners who may need a bit of support at home.
