Pizza Day in HSP!
On Thursday, April 17, 2014, students in the HSP class made their own pizzas. We made the dough using a recipe a few days before. We rolled out the dough to create our own individual pizzas, then added toppings. We are learning about fractions. We cut our pizzas into quarters or eighths before eating them to apply what we had learned about fractions. We are going to use this experience to do some procedural writing about our pizza making. Our spelling words this week came from our Shared Reading song “I am a Pizza” by Charlotte Diamond. We learned a lot and the pizza tasted delicious!
