Computer Networking

Organizations around the world are experiencing a shortage of qualified candidates to fill a growing number of networking positions in virtually every industry.

Cisco Networking Academy is an innovative global education initiative that delivers information and communication technology (IT) skills to help meet this growing demand while improving career and educational opportunities for students around the world.

The Cisco Networking Academy is a global education program that teaches students how to design, build, troubleshoot, and secure computer networks for increased access to career and economic opportunities in communities around the world. For more information on this follow this link to Cisco Neworking.

There are three Cisco semesters which are placed into two high school semesters.  Students at SATEC complete the CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum which provides a comprehensive overview of networking fundamentals to advanced networking concepts, with an emphasis on theory and practical application.

To obtain your Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification, you need to complete all three semesters.  When students have successfully completed the three semesters they are prepared to write the CCNA final examination at a local testing center.
