Reminder - Proof of Residency Attestation
A significant number of VSS students have completed the residency attestation process. Thank you for your cooperation with this!
Just a reminder that any students for whom TDSB staff cannot verify residency by the given date will be demitted from Virtual Secondary School. Please email TDSBVirtualSecSchool@tdsb.on.ca if you need help.
If you have not yet completed your attestation, please go to one of the locations on the dates listed below. An appointment is not needed.

- Oct 27th: 11 am to 1pm, Rockcliffe Middle School, 400 Rockcliffe Blvd, Toronto, ON M6N 4R8
- Oct 28th, 29th, and 30th: 9am to 4pm, Peckham, Room 110 **Do not enter through the school entrance, use the entrance on the west side of the building.
- Oct 28th, 29th, and 30th: 8:30am to 4pm, Rockcliffe Middle School, 400 Rockcliffe Blvd, Toronto, ON M6N 4R8
- Oct 28th: 1pm – 4pm, York Region DSB office, 60 Wellington Street West, Aurora
- Oct 30th: 9am – 3pm, TDSB East Education Office, 140 Borough Drive, 2nd floor, Toronto, ON, M1P 4N6
You will need to bring one document from Category A and one document from Category B to your appointment. Please see attached document for more details.

Category A
- Current Property Tax Bill / MPAC Notice of Assessment
- Current mortgage statement, Rental / Lease Agreement, or deed
- Agreement of Purchase and Sale, including proof of purchase provided before the pupil attends the School
Category B
- CRA Income Tax Assessment (Most recent)
- Current Utility Bill/e-Bill (water, hydro, gas, home phone/cable/internet, home/tenant/auto insurance)
- Recent correspondence from a municipal, provincial or federal government agency
- Other official/government documents confirming residence requirements (i.e. CRA Notice of Assessment, Statement of Old Age, Security T4 (OAS) or Statement of Canada Pension Plan Benefits, etc.)
Please note that original documents must be shown in-person. An Ontario driver’s license, Health Card, Credit card statement, or cell phone bill are not acceptable forms of documentation to confirm a student’s residence.
Home Schooling remains an option for families. These requests are handled through the Superintendent’s office. Form 553A: Notice of Intent to Provide Home Schooling
