To support the Performance Art Club at their school, team WexTech9782 volunteered with a booth in a "Mardi Gras" themed marketplace. The goal of the market was to create a pre-show vibe for the school play "HadesTown", which captured about 500 guests from the local community each night on May 13-15, 2025. The market was open for one hour before the play and again at intermission. Dressed in New Orleans inspired accessories, the WexTech9782 team was given permission to sell coffee, baked goods, and branded buttons alongside other clubs to raise funds for their team.

The WexTech9782 booth featured their marketing materials which introduced the First Robotics program and their team brand. They promoted their 2025 sponsors and encouraged guests to sign up as mentors and /or sponsors for their fall season. Marketing materials (business cards, stickers, sponsor brochure, and mentor / sponsor sign-up sheets) were all designed and created by the students. Guests were allowed to drive the robot (which was also dressed in New Orleans inspired accessories) and were shown the robot programming and CAD design work on the student's computers. It was an excellent brand launch and the students were thrilled to be included in such a special school night!

Over the three days, WexTech9782 raised $885, but more importantly demonstrated school spirit, worked together, and had tons of fun. The students learned all about brand development, marketing, exhibiting, selling and the importance supporting all school clubs. Several of their community donors came out to support the team and were delighted at the opportunity to also purchase handcrafted jewelry from the Visual Media Arts club booth. Members of WexTech9782 team also purchased tickets to the play to support the Performance Arts club where they were further inspired by all the amazing talent on stage and behind the scenes.

Wexford Collegiate School of the Arts is known for their performance and visual arts programs, which is supported by dedicated staff and volunteers. The students are innovative thinkers and their smiles are priceless when they all come together to show school spirit.

Thanks again to everyone from the community who came out to support HadesTown cast and crew, WexTech9782, and all the clubs featured in the Bourbon Street Market.
