The current playscape structures at the rear of our school (Gr 1-6) and at the front (JK/SK) are approximately 20 years old and nearing the end of their useful life. The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) does not dedicate reserve funds to replace aging playgrounds, meaning each school must fund their own playground updates. This means that we have an opportunity to come together as a community to create new and exciting outdoor spaces for our students to play and explore.   

In 2021, our students and their families had the opportunity to complete surveys.  Last year, our Playground Revitalization Committee submitted a design request to the TDSB based on the results of the school community surveys.  The TDSB design is expected to be completed over the winter/spring of 2023.  If all goes according to plan, our new Grade 1-6 playground could be installed in 2024.
