Delta provides a strong academic program in a supportive, caring environment

Delta's structure includes a contract system that promotes time management, organizational skills and individual learning. The contract system also helps to develop goal setting abilities, self-evaluation and responsibility.

Delta promotes in its students respect for others and social responsibility through participation in their school community, and through voluntary community service.

Delta prepares students for the future by encouraging the regular use and evaluation of a variety of media and new technologies, including computers.

We believe that a full partnership is essential among all members of the Delta school environment, including staff, students, volunteers, and parents to create a safe and caring environment in which all students may achieve their goal.

The goals of our behaviour code are to foster in all students a sense of responsibility toward themselves, toward others, and toward the physical surroundings. We believe that all students have the right to an environment that is:

* conducive to learning
* physically, emotionally, and socially safe
* free from physical, verbal (oral or written), sexual or psychological abuse
* free from bullying or discrimination on the basis of race, culture, religion, gender, language, disability, sexual orientation, or any other attributes such as income or appearance
