ARBOR GLEN COMMUNITY CHILDCARE

Arbor Glen Community Child Care is a community-based, non-profit childcare program, operated by a volunteer Board of Directors and team of Early Childhood Educators.

The Child Care is licensed by the Ministry of Education and holds a Purchase of Service Agreement with Toronto Children's Services and participates in CWELCC (Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Funding).

At Arbor Glen Community Child Care (AGCCC), we view children as competent, capable, and curious learners with great potential. We foster positive, responsive relationships among children, families, and educators, recognizing families as essential partners in each child’s growth and development. Our knowledgeable and caring educators provide a high-quality, play-based program grounded in ongoing observation, inquiry, and co-learning. Guided by the foundations of How Does Learning Happen?—Belonging, Well-Being, Engagement, and Expression—we create a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Children’s learning, interactions, and achievements are regularly documented and shared with families throughout their journey at AGCCC.

Health, safety, inclusion, and well-being are central to our program. We promote healthy nutrition, active indoor and outdoor play, rest, and hands-on learning while maintaining strong safety practices, clear policies, and transparent communication with families. Educators support children’s self-regulation, communication, and positive behaviour through respectful guidance and prohibited-practice-free approaches. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion, honouring children’s languages, cultures, identities, and abilities. Through meaningful family engagement, community partnerships, reflective practice, and continuous professional learning, AGCCC remains committed to providing a nurturing, responsive, and high-quality childcare program that evolves to meet the needs of children and families.

• Programs Offered:  Monday to Friday
• Full day care: 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Before & after school, 6 to 11 years: 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. & 3:15 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
