Registration

We are excited to welcome our new students and families to Berner Trail. Please note that at this time our registration process has changed in accordance with TDSB and City of Toronto health protocols. All registrations can be completed online for students in Kindergarten to Grade 6. Links to the form and instructions are below. Our Office Administrator will then contact you to set up a virtual appointment to complete the registration.

To register your child for any grade, please use the link below to confirm that this is your home school. 

Find my school

Once confirmed, you can fill in the online form. Below is a list of documents and information that will be required to register.

• birth certificate (if born in Canada), passport or permanent residency card
• proof of address (2 pieces of identification that show your address- bank statement, telephone bill, rental agreement)
• heath card 
• immunization record (click the link for information)
• name and phone number of 2 emergency contacts
• any important documents regarding health concerns or custody arrangements

Kindergarten Registration 

Starting school is an exciting time for your child. Our school provides a rich learning environment for all children to learn and grow. In the Kindergarten program, your child will develop their skills and abilities through inquiry and intentional play-based learning that includes math, science and literacy. Our teachers and early childhood educators plan learning experiences where children are actively engaged in learning and thinking creatively. 

Children can attend Junior Kindergarten in the calendar year they turn that they turn four and Senior Kindergarten in the year that they turn five.
