A WELCOME FROM THE ADMINISTRATION

The purpose of the Bridlewood Junior Public School website is to provide you with information about our routines and expectations as you plan and organize for a successful year. On behalf of the entire Bridlewood Jr. PS staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all new and returning students and their families. We hope that your holiday was safe, enjoyable and refreshing! 

At Bridlewood Jr. PS, each student is very important to us and we plan our programs to meet the needs of every student we serve.  We have an outstanding staff of dedicated and inspired teachers and support staff.  We are committed to creating a school community that supports achievement; success; equity and well-being for all students. 

Presently, Bridlewood Jr. PS serves as a Kindergarten to Grade 6 School, with approximately 220 students.

At Bridlewood Jr. PS we are proud of our major Accomplishments: 

  • High EQAO scores that are above the Board’s and the Ministry’s average  
  • Gold status Eco certification /li>
  • Initiatives that support local and global social justice action plans /li>
  • Offering a wide range of exciting clubs and athletic opportunities /li>
  • Supporting a vibrant and active Student Council /li>
  • strong parent/school partnership and collaboration with a very active School Council/li>
  • A vibrant performing and visual arts program including drama and music /li>
  • Preserving specialty facilities including deaf and Hard of Hearing Classes; music room; gym;
    computer labs and a large library resource centre /li>
  • Delivering the Ontario curriculum in both instruction and assessment initiatives /li>
  • Supporting our second language learners and special education designated students /li>
  • Promoting a ‘Growth Mindset’ and ‘Mindfulness’  /li>
  • Engaging students in charity drives and other leadership opportunities /li>
  • Maintaining a Safe and Caring School Program with a monitored Safe Arrival Program and Instruction in topics related to Character Development; anti - bullying, student success and leadership opportunities, conflict resolution, study skills, self-awareness, and improving relations with others./li>

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to students new to Bridlewood Junior Public School as well as those who are returning for the 2022-2023 school year. Once again, I look forward to working with the Bridlewood Junior Public School parents, students and school staff to create a school community that supports achievement; success; equity and well-being for all students.

Students, as you embark on your learning journey, I encourage you to take time to set goals for yourself. Think about how you can use what  you’ve learned last year to further your learning growth this year. Remember that positive attitude, effort, and collaboration with others can help make this year the best yet.

We are very excited to be able to offer you yet another form of communication. We hope that this website will become a useful tool for you to use to gain information about our school's events, activities and programs.
