Burrows Hall News You Can Use

Last updated: Thursday, April 23, 2015

  • Please join us for our annual Curriculum Night Open House on Thursday, September 25th from 5-6 pm. A reminder that teachers will not be able to discuss the individual progress of your child at this time, but feel free to ask questions about the overall curriculum and routines of the classroom.
  • PARENT REMINDER: Our school parking lot is for staff parking only. Please do not use the parking lot as a drop-off area for your child. There is a very limited amount of space, and we want to avoid costly accidents as well as keep our students safe. Instead, you should use Burrows Hall Blvd. as an alternative. Thank you for your cooperation!
  • Our school times are still the same as last year. School begins at 8:40 am and ends at 3:10 pm.  Lunch begins at 11:40 am and ends at 12:30 pm. Please be on time for classes!
  • On Monday, February 24, 2014, the Me to We Club welcomed The Right Honourable Paul Martin, former Prime Minister of Canada, as well as representatives from Free The Children to Burrows Hall to join us in a morning of learning about Aboriginal culture.  You can read about their visit in this blog post from the Free the Children website.

  • Our school community was saddened to learn of the passing of former principal Rick Rogers on October 31, 2013.  Mr. Rogers was principal at Burrows Hall from 2001-2008, and will be remembered for his inspirational nature, sense of humour and caring spirit.  For more information on his memorial service or how to make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory, view this page.
