Please note that schools in Ontario, including CALC, will remain closed past the originally proposed date.  Quad 3 classes are continuing online and current students are encouraged to check your online learning platforms (Google Classroom, BrightSpace etc.) and/or check in with your teachers via email.  (Your teacher's email should be on your course outline for example,  A letter from Principal Richard Bilkszto was shared on the MySchoolDay app on March 27th, 2020 and includes his email if you can't reach your teacher(s).

RESOURCES and POTENTIAL SUPPORTS for our students during this challenging time have been sourced by TDSB Social Workers and CALC's community partners.  A list of supports can be found here.

CALC Secondary School (EdVance) has been helping young adults (18-20 years old) complete their secondary diplomas for more than 10 years. We support all post secondary destinations: college, university, apprenticeship and workplace. Our innovative programs include Culinary Arts (with George Brown College) and Online Co-op (providing program for students with paid positions).

The EdVance program is divided into four, nine-week blocks beginning in September, November, January and March. Registration to EdVance takes place each Quad.

Please check the website in the coming weeks for information on registering for Quad 1 in September 2020. Summer E-Learning and Adult Summer School information can be found on the TDSB website at

Current and returning students who have entered course requests will receive email notices from their teachers by Monday, May 4th, 2020.  (Please check your TDSB student emails if you are an active current student and your personal emails if you are returning from a previous quad or year.)  The school will remain closed until at least May 31st with classes conducted through 'remote learning'.

Starting for the 2019-2020 school year, CALC Secondary School (EdVance) has replaced its paper student agenda with the “My School Day App”.

My School Day

The APP is a living resource for staff and students. The App provides information regarding school schedules, school events, and daily announcements. It enables students to be better informed and organized. Students can customize the notifications, news and calendar information they receive based on their own classes and interest.  It is an easy way for students to stay informed about classes, clubs, and school activities.

Stay up to Date and Download the My School Day App from the App Store (IOS) or Google Play and Select your school: City Adult Learning Centre.
