Can you spare 30 minutes in the morning? Our Kiss n Ride program monitors and helps our students to move quickly and safely from their cars to the school yard each morning. This program has operated for many years to make morning arrival safe and we consider it an essential service for our students. But we need volunteers to keep it going. If you can give half an hour of your time in the morning, please fill out our brief online form, and our coordinator will get back to you shortly.
This is an excellent way for high school students to accumulate community hours!
What would I have to do if I decide to volunteer?
Arrive at the school by 8:15am to grab a pylon and a reflective vest. Make your way to the Kiss n’ Ride area on the sidewalk at the front of the school, south end. Place the pylon on the sidewalk by the road, and from 8:20 - 8:40, simply open car doors as they pull up. Students exit the car, move to the back of the school and the car drives off.
