From December 3-5, 2025 Greenwood students were immersed in Canadian winter in the great outdoors.  Thanks to a generous donation from the Learnex Foundation, students were able to experience snowshoeing, X-country skiing and explore the forests at the TDSB's beautiful property near Algonquin Provincial Park.  Under the guidance of Outward Bound Canada, students worked in teams to prepare and cook all their meals on 2-burner propane stoves in temperatures that dipped to -20 degrees Celsius!  Students agreed that a highlight of the trip was the opportunity to have a 3-day 'phone detox'.  No texts, no snaps, no reels, no stories-just fresh air, friendship, shared laughter and experience.  May the TDSB's Camp Kearney re-open in 2026 for all to enjoy!
