Mr. McKenzie, Ms. Bliss and Outward Bound instructors Ryan, Amanda and Darla enjoyed 3 days and 2 nights in the wilds of Stouffville's Woodland Trails Scout Camp with AN AMAZING group of 20 Greenwood Secondary School students. Countries represented included: Columbia, Cuba, Iran, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Chad. Students enjoyed hiking, cooperative games, leadership initiatives, a fire-building techniques workshop (led by Greenwood Co-op student Meem), cooking, widdling, campfires with singing and smores and time away from phones and social media. Despite the cool spring weather, students enthusiastically embraced the challenge of sleeping in a solo tent or hammock for at least one of the nights. What a treat to have this time together in nature.
